Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about what ARCPeasy does, and what it deliberately doesn’t.
What is ARCPeasy? Does it replace Horus or Turas?+
No. ARCPeasy is not an e-portfolio. Your evidence of record stays in Horus or Turas — we organise what you already have, map it to your Foundation ARCP checklist, and show you the gaps. We never write back to Horus or Turas.
Does ARCPeasy submit anything to my deanery or portfolio?+
Never. ARCPeasy produces a checklist-ordered bundle and a step-by-step upload guide for you. You stay in control of your portfolio — nothing is submitted on your behalf.
What happens to my reflections?+
By default we store only that a reflection exists and its date — not the text — and nothing reflective is ever sent to an AI model. You can opt in, per document, to a one-off review of a single reflection; afterwards we keep only a content hash and any summary you choose to keep. See the Reflections & privacy page for the full policy.
Is my data safe? Where is it stored?+
Your data is held in encrypted storage in London, in the UK. Deleting your account deletes everything we hold for you.
What about patient-identifiable information in my documents?+
Every page is screened for patient-identifiable information before anything is sent to an AI model or added to your export, and risky pages are blocked. That safety check is always free and never behind a paywall.
How accurate is the mapping?+
Every mapping is a suggestion, shown with its reasoning and a confidence score. You confirm each one — nothing is asserted for you. Your programme's published ARCP checklist and the Gold Guide are always the authoritative source.
Which programmes do you support?+
Foundation — F1 and F2 — at launch, against the FP Curriculum 2021 ARCP checklist. Internal Medicine and other programmes are on the roadmap; the template engine is being built to take them without a rewrite.
Will this guarantee a good ARCP outcome?+
No, and we will never claim it. The ARCP panel decides. ARCPeasy helps you arrive organised and aware of your gaps — it does not influence the outcome. For outcomes 3 to 5, appeals or concerns, speak to your foundation school and see the Gold Guide and the BMA.
What does it cost, and when do I pay?+
It's free to upload and see your gap count, and the anonymisation check is always free. A paid unlock covers the full mapping and your supervisor bundle for one training year; the exact price is being finalised with pilot users.
My evidence isn't all in one file. Is that a problem?+
No. ARCPeasy takes both your full Horus or Turas export and loose files — certificates, PSA or ALS results, teaching logs and the like. During the pilot we're tuning the parser on real exports, so if a format gives us trouble, tell us.
